The Group’s Manpower Services organization provides clients with well-trained seafarers and other staff working on specific contracts. This organization is made up of a network of 30 offices located in all of the leading supply countries around the world. These include integrated recruitment and training centres in key locations in India, Ukraine, Manila, Russia and the Baltic States. The reach of this organization is extended still further via the internet portal (see vmanpower.com) which enables the group to advertise vacancies and to fill these positions on-line as well as to provide information on training, the V.Ships’ cadet programme and other initiatives.
Seafarers and other contract staff are supplied either indirectly as part of full or crew management agreements managed by V.Ships (for cargo vessels) and V.Ships Leisure (for passenger ships). Positions are available within the deck, engine, galley and hotel departments. Specialist technical staff are also supplied by Manpower Services to SeaTec and V.Delta, the Group’s in-house technical specialists.
Alternatively, staff are supplied direct to clients by individual group companies.
BGI (see www.bgicrew.com) is a long-established specialist supplier of seafarers and office staff from the Baltic States, Russia, Georgia and the Ukraine. BGI supplies staff to cargo and passenger vessels and to the offshore oil & gas industry.
RC Consultants (see www.rcc.no) is a leading provider of engineering consultancy services to the oil and gas industry on the Norwegian continental shelf. The company was founded in 1987 and joined V.Group in 2007.
V.Hospitality (see www.vhospitality.net) is a specialist supplier of staff for passenger shipping clients. Working in close conjunction with V.Ships Leisure this company provides technical, marine and hotel including entertainment staff.
